The Blackburn United Academy (BUFA) has been formed in partnership with Tauheedul Islam Girls High School and is open to both boys and girls aged 6 to 13 years old. The sessions take place on Saturday ( 9.00am to 1.00pm) at St.Micheal with St. Johns Primary School Galaxy Centre. Similar sessions are now up and running sucessfully at Audley Junior School Space Centre. ( Saturday 10.30am to 12.30pm)

BUFA aim is to  engage with young people in a range of constructive activities. We want  to create a safer, stronger and more respectful community through the development of young people by increasing the playing, coaching and officiating opportunities for the participants.

BUFA coaching sessions are aimed at providing quality, focused activities for young people within their local community. The initial activity will provide health and fitness to the young people through football. It is hoped that these sessions will also contribute to the well being of the community, promoting social inclusion, for those who may not have been fortunate enough to participate in such activities in the past, and assist in problems within the area of crime and disorder by young people.

It will also spotlight on the work of Blackburn United FC, whose aims and objectives are to encourage develop and create a platform for footballers from all over Blackburn to participate in football in a safe and secure environment and perform to the highest standards.

The Blackburn United Football Academy is therefore committed to developing children both as players and individuals.

We take a responsible and professional approach to coaching youngsters. We aim to be enthusiastic and patient thereby creating an environment where children can learn at their own pace in a controlled and fun way. The sessions are  packed full of fun games, drills and practices. These will improve their football/sports and social skills, encourage healthy lifestyles and confidence.

The Blackburn United Football Academy operates a Child Protection policy. All of our coaches are FA qualified, CRB checked, and possess up to date FA credited Child Protection and Emergency Aid certificates. We aim to have a player-to-coach ratio of 12:1.
